Budapest-Bamako
Budapest-Bamako
The Budapest-Bamako is the largest charity rally in the world, crossing Europe and Africa from Hungary to Mali. An incredible journey through diverse landscapes, cultures, and challenges.
The Route
Starting in Budapest, Hungary, and heading south through:
- Europe: Hungary, Slovenia, Italy, France, Spain
- Morocco: Crossing the Strait of Gibraltar into Africa
- Western Sahara: Endless desert roads and ocean-side tracks
- Mauritania: Sand, more sand, and challenging terrain
- Mali: The final destination, Bamako
The Challenge
Unlike traditional rallies, Budapest-Bamako focuses on adventure and charity rather than speed. Teams navigate through:
- Sahara desert crossings
- Challenging border crossings
- Unpredictable terrain and weather
- Mechanical challenges far from civilization
The Purpose
The rally raises funds and delivers supplies to communities in West Africa. It’s about using adventure as a force for good—bringing attention and resources to regions that need support.
Why Do It?
Because the world is meant to be explored, not just visited. True adventure lies beyond comfort zones, in the dust, heat, and unknown roads of a transcontinental journey.
